Long-term development plans
Energy and materials
for what comes next.
Fount Technology’s future plans connect graphene materials with energy storage and a separate critical-minerals pathway for industrial use.
Planned production of
graphene-based batteries.
Fount plans to develop and produce graphene-based batteries, building from advanced-carbon material validation into electrode formulation, cell engineering and production capability.
Graphene may be assessed as part of conductive or structural battery materials. The path from material to working cell depends on formulation, electrochemical testing, safety validation, manufacturing design and customer qualification.
This is a future development plan. Battery products are not currently offered through this initiative.
Planned production of
rare-earth materials.
Fount is also considering a future pathway to produce rare-earth materials for industrial use, with the specific product shaped by available feedstock and customer requirements.
Rare-earth recovery is a separate minerals-processing activity. It needs suitable ore, concentrate or recyclable feedstock and its own beneficiation, chemical separation, purification, waste-management and environmental-control systems. Graphene production equipment alone cannot produce rare-earth materials.
Potential end uses include high-performance permanent magnets for electric motors and generators. Each element and feedstock requires a process designed around its composition, recovery economics and environmental controls.
A separate process pathway
How the pathway would be assessed
First characterize the feedstock; then select a suitable concentration and recovery route; separate and purify the target element or mixed product; and verify product quality, residue handling, water use, emissions and regulatory requirements.
This is a strategic direction under consideration, not an existing Fount production operation.
Start with the material.
Design around the use.
Each future product pathway depends on technical validation, safety and environmental planning, and customer requirements.
